Since 1986, Linea offers foundational & creative hair styling to balayage, facials, nails, waxing and more, the Linea Family provides an unbeatable experience. We pride ourselves on continual education and using this education to enhance the value we bring to our clients in every appointment. Joseph "Joe" Tristino

Founder & Educator (1937-2022)

Joe Tristino did it his way, following his passion in Cosmetology and Beauty. He trained in Rome and Paris before immigrating to the United States. His goal was to learn, design, and educate the Art of Beautiful Hair. He served as Past President of the Chicago Cosmetologists Association (1989–1991), collaborated with Vidal Sassoon when discovering the bob, and worked as an International Platform Artist and Educator, earning over 98 trophies worldwide. He was also the International Creative and Educational Director for Indola and a former beauty school owner. In 1986, he fulfilled his dream by founding Linea Hair Salon & Day Spa, Inc. His joy became watching his assistants grow and become incredible cosmetologists. He passed on his legacy to his wife, Teresa.

Today, Teresa and the Linea Family proudly carry that legacy forward, sharing Joe’s teachings and passion as they craft beautiful hair for future generations at Linea.
